Hi Guys, i am a undergraduate student from China. I apply for a visitor visa at January for my graduation trip. But now i've changed my mind and received an offer from a Canadian college. I decieded to take this program, which means i will need a study permit before this September. In this case can i just ignore the visitor application and open a new one at the same time or do i need to withdraw the former visitor application then to apply for a study permit?
Thanks in advance!
FYI: They haven't processed my visitor application at all! I studied in Canada from Stempber 2019 till May 2020. (The old study permit was expired)

Yes, you can submit a study permit application. You don't have to withdraw the TRV unless you want to.

It makes sense they haven't processed your visitor visa application yet. They are prioritizing the processing of applications for family members and those who are allowed to travel to Canada at this time.
