Hi!

A little context. I came to Canada in 2014 for university with a study permit and was issued a TRP because of my travel document (I have a Somali passport which isn't a valid document here). I graduated in 2019 and received my PGWP which expires in April 2022. I've renewed my permits and ensured I've stayed in the country with valid documents for the past 6 years. I've started looking into getting my PR and came across the CEC stream which I think I qualify for as I've been working in a NOC A job for the past 1.5 years. However, it says only admissible individuals can apply, usually went I tell immigration lawyers or even IRCC agents that I have a TRP they assume it's cause of a crime or a medical condition but it's because of my travel document. Will that stop me from applying for Express Entry? I don't want to waste my time going through with it if it will. I've tried looking for an answer on the IRCC website, but I found nothing and they're hard to reach over the phone.

Thank you :)

Yes, you can apply under EE / CEC. You want to have 470+ point to have a good chance of being selected out of the pool.
