Can I apply for a Bridging work permit after the ITA?

That depends on you. That is, how long it takes you to fill all the forms, upload all the required documents and submit a complete application.
If my application for the BOWP is submitted and is still processing when my current work permit expires, do I then get implied status meaning I can carry on working?

Can I leave Canada without before receiving PR card? My friend will mail me once he receives it. Do you think it is risky?
You can leave Canada. The only issue that could arise is having your photos not meeting the requirements and having to re-send them. This would put a further delay on your PR card.

If this is the case why do I need to apply for a BOWP? Would my PR application itself not have me on implied status?
