Hi everyone,

My friend is waiting for Ontario PNP nomination under master stream PNP. Looking at the current trend and slow pace, she may get nomination in about 6 months from now. The problem is she only got 6 months left on her PGWP.

I want to ask if she can use the nomination to apply under EE FSW as she also has one year NOC A experience from back home prior to study?
Anyone share some knowledge on it?

Regular paper based PR with PNP takes about 15 months, her work permit would most likely be expired even before paper based AOR, does anyone know if nomination under master stream can be used for EE FSW ?

Thanks

No. She couldn't use that to get 600 points.

Han is right, but I believe she can use that paper-based OINP nomination (assuming it's the master stream with a job offer) to bridge/extend her work permit.

Thanks bellaluna for the response. Actually it's without job offer. She is in the middle of the preparations for her medical school residency so not doing any job right now. What options does she has ?

She can still apply separately to EE with her Canadian work experience (if at least 12 months) and masters degree, hopefully that will get her enough points for an ITA, and if she gets an AOR then she can apply for a BOWP.

No actually, her masters degree was one years duration and she got PGWP for one year only. She did work for about 3 months initially but then her school applications and school interviews made it too hectic so she quit working 5 months ago. I fear she might be running out of options here.

Oh. If she has less than 12 months Canadian work experience or 1 year continuous foreign work experience, then Express Entry really isn't an option for her at all.

I hope OINP picks up pace and she get her Nomination soon. That's the only chance we have I guess. Or does anyone know any other option to extend our stay in Canada in such Situation?

I'm not completely sure, but based on what I've read around this forum, she can request for an extension of her stay or change her status to visitor.

Hopefully someone with experience can correct me.
