My sister came to Canada as a visitor 4 months ago: I invited her to help me with my 3 kids (2y, 4y and 9y). She is supposed to leave Canada in 2 months. However I would like her to stay with me to help me with the kids. Is there any way for her to stay here with me.
A friend told me that one option is to hire her as a familly assistante. Is this possible?, is there any other options.
thank you

I personally have not heard of a familly assistant, and everything under family class says you can only sponsor brother, sisters, etc if they are under 18 and orphaned etc... there is a live-in caregiver program not sure what requirements must be met but I would assume some kind of background in the field would be necessary. The following link should help you figure out if she is applicable.

That being said she is here as a visitor and she can apply for a visitor extension.

To qualify to be hired as a live-in caregiver - your sister would either need to have 1 year of full time paid experience as a caregiver (or similar profession) in the past three years. Or six months of full time schooling as a caregiver (or related field) in the past three years. You must also meet minimum income requirements. If she doesn't meet these requirements then your only real option is to try to extend her visit visa.
