Can a Visa be stamped on passport 9 months to expire.

Hello everyone please I need your help, if there's is anyone who had same experience please write me as fast as possible, because I am so worried.My passport is 9 months to expire and the Visa office in Dakar Senegal has requested my passport, but then it doesn't meet the 12 months validity requested by the immigration, my husband has written an appeal letter of consideration to their office, because the current instability in the southern Cameroon has caused getting a passport a hell to every passport applicant.Getting a new passport in my country Cameroon takes about 3 months. While waiting for the embassy in Dakar Senegal to accept our appeal to their office, What do you advise me to do.
Please my husband and I are so worried. Please Help us out.

Good you have written to the Visa Office......you could arrive in Canada with 9 months passport validity and then renewed it here.......just ensure you land in Canada before the expiry date on your COPR.
