Quote from CIC:

"Applicants to the proposed program would be required to meet four minimum requirements:

[1] A qualifying offer of employment from up to two employers in Canada of at least one year duration (see footnote 14) or a Certificate of Qualification from a provincial or territorial Apprenticeship Authority;"

In the province of BC, can either my degree in design (BA 2:2) or Level 3 carpentry (full diploma) be made into a "certificate of qualification from a province?"

Surely it must be easier than it is to get into Canada with everything but a job offer?!

Help please!

You should contact the regulating body about this.

And you're right, its a lot harder now for foreigners to get into another country these days.....eventhough its mostly commonwealth

If UK was like this, I wouldn't be trying to leave.
We have double the population of Canada, in an area about the size of half a province! There are soooooo many people costing the tax payer an unreasonable amount of money. People who have never or will never pay into that system. People who have come here from other EU countries to work for half what we work, then take all the money home where it goes further, to build a house or start a business. Not good.
