Can a Software Developer apply for NOC 2282

There are couple of documents that CIC requested:
1. Specialized skill document - Mentions NOC Code
2. Questionaire by CIC - This also has a reference to NOC code
3. Job description Referrundum - This also had a reference to NOC code
4. Cover Letter - This referred to the NOC code.
5. There is another document, not sure about the name - That also had the NOC code reference.....

Now I am not sure if its only my company that submits all these documents to CIC or do other companies also submit....At least for my case, my visa department made it very clear to me that choose your NOC code wisely as it has impacts later on.....

Urgent: Could you tell me , in which doc, your compnay mention the NOC code ?

is it you apply the work permit with all the doc you supply ?

or someone else help you done this ?

you have to know different work permit type means totally different thing.

some work permit have no LMO, usually, there would be no this step of NOC match happened.

Most of Intra company transfer , only limit you have to work in that company.

I have given CELPIP english test and scored as follows
Listening - 7
Speaking - 7
Reading - 6
Writing - 8

I would like to apply for PR. I am currently residing in Canada with Work Permit and as a Software Developer (NOC 2174).
As per policy of Immigration, I may not be able to apply for NOC 2174 with the above english score . Can I apply for NOC 2282?
Is there any concern if I apply for NOC 2282? or is there any possibility of rejection?

I may be wrong but i don't see 2282 in NOC 2011 50 eligible occupations.

Yes, Maybe you applied LMO , do you ?? the case I knew didn't,, the case I met is LMO-exempt

Nope...its just one of the title from NOC Code i.e. Computer and System Consultant......

Yes, I have figure out that, I start worry my application too.

I find my title on work permit is software engineer which is 2173

but I applied 2283 .


when I apply work permit, I never pay attention to what is NOC. it is agent done this.


and riiculously is , my offer letter title is software developer which is 2171 .


and I check my support letter when I apply work permit,

the duties , I am 100% sure can only match 2283 .

what a mess ?

I can only waiting for reject now . damn it .

Buddy, dont get disheartned....I am not an expert and not sure if there is some way out if this....Let the seniors of this forum...may be Toby look at ur case and suggest....I suggest u send him a message....

Another point that comes to my mind.....Check with your lawyer who filed your work permit if he mentioned NOC code in that application?
If he did not mention the NOC code anywhere and the duties/responsibilities match i.e. what you have filed for your PR matches with what you mentioned in the work permit.....I think the VO may overlook the title.....and you may go through......as different companies have differt way to use the titles......

yes, unfortunately, that guy mention it as 2171 and never talk with me, just put a number, no duties , the duties details supplied by my manager in another letter , which have only duties, no code.


and I get work permit the code is 2173 as the title it give.
