Can a PR Visa holder travel to other countries before landing in Canada?

I got the PR visa stamped recently, but I need to visit Brazil before I can land in Canada. Will this pose any problem with Canadian immigration?

Secondly, are there any specific requirements to enter Canada if I've traveled to Brazil within the prior 30 days?

I don't think there should be any problem. You have a valid visa. You have the freedom to use till its validity. You can visit other countries. Why should it affect your current visa?
