Hey i want to ask For how long does a pr sponsor can stay outside canada to visit his spouse? I have been searching alot but i cant see anything even on IRCC website just like many people say that PR can only stay outside for 3 weeks.

Technically PR sponsor is not supposed to leave Canada at all. However, it's generally agreed that a few weeks would be fine, there's no concrete answer as to the exact time you can be away. You're pretty much taking a risk when leaving Canada.

Not even for vacations?

Depends on how long the vacation. As I said, there's no concrete answer as to how long you can be away and still be "safe". It's widely agreed that a few weeks is good, but even then, you're still taking a risk. Your spouse is only a couple months away from getting PR, why not just stay put? Or get him to come here?

Like Mikeymyke already said, it's generally accepted that anything more than 2 or 3 weeks will jeopardize the app

That's sad :( Anyways thank u guys for helping me

hang in there F.M, you're almost there. right now it's just a matter of having them open your file. once that happens, things will move quickly and you'll be done before you know it.

yeah i kind of understand. i'm a canadian citizen, but i barely have any vacation days at my job... although i can visit without risking the application, i would still be running a risk of losing my job which i absolutely cannot afford to lose right now. when i do visit, i also don't want to come back to canada alone. i couldn't bear saying goodbye to her again.
