Hi guys,

I want to apply for skilled immigration via express entry after I graduated in Canada from a 2 year Diploma, I received a work permit valid for three years. I did work at some decent on the paper jobs while I was in Canada but most of the time I worked as a pizza delivery driver there and my salary was paid in cash (without taxes). I didn't knew at that time if that was a good or bad thing.

I want to know that now if I apply for express entry from my home country and in my background history I don't mention that job and just mention "unemployed" during the time of around 2-5 to three years, will that create any issues for my file? Will that delay my background check or would that not be a big deal? Please let me know.

You can choose not to include those jobs in the work history but you must mention them in the personal history section once you receive your ITA.

If you mention unemployment you'd be actively lying in your application.

Thanks for replying. Okay but if I worked in a cash job, I won't have a T4 from the Canadian tax authorities. If CIC consult with them, wouldn't they wonder why I actually worked in a cash job?
