It can be an issue as a friend/relative can stop funding your studies. Usually a parent’s financial support is considered more highly but also depends on your age. An adult should be showing that he/she can afford to study in Canada. Are you showing your own funds at all? You need to show career and education progression too.

No , i mean , he won't sponser or something like that. It's just that he wants to pay in canadian dollars from there only. N we'll transfer that amount in his parents account in INR. As he had to send money to his parents , so if he pays fee ,It will save transfer charges. So that's my point. As gic should be paid from student's account. We'll pay that. But for fee , is there any such restriction that it needs to paid from student account or parents account??

No but she will write a formal gift deed from Canada itself. She lives and work there. Money will go directly to the university. I will still pay the remaining funds.

Tough to know what IRCC will react. This is a highly unusual situation. There is a high chance that this will be problematic. Friends do not topically gift such large amount of funds unless they are perhaps extremely wealthy so the funds are no big deal for them.

She has a job that pays 100K/y, I have known her from last 8 years (same college), i was trying to follow this point given by IRCC:
- letter from a person or a school that’s giving you money

What does Person here mean?

A person means a person. A letter from the person whoever he/she is....... whether ircc would accept that relationship is up to the VO.

Dont go for non sds. They will reject. I applied with non sds. Got rejected under non sds you can’t say that your funds are tied to some education loan. Sanctioned loan is fine for 2nd year but for first year make sure you pay full fees and GIC. I only had gic and 1K Cad deposit. I got rejected.

But sds is closed and we can only apply under non sds. What was the reason for your rejection.?
SDS stream is closed, true. That’s what i thought and didn’t pay first year’s fee. But when you click answers and tick both gic and tuition paid on ircc, you will get options for gic. Those are quite straight forward options. Like one year fee paid receipt and gic.
