Hello,
My sister and brother-in-law are Canadian citizens. They sponsored us in the "Parents and Grandparents Program" where my father was the 'main applicant', my mother was the 'spouse' and I was the 'dependent'. Now I have some confusions given the situation we are in right now. The situations are:
1. My father and mother will travel to Canada together. While my mother will stay for 3/4 months. But my father will have to return to the 'origin country' 2-4 weeks after his first landing. I know it usually takes 45 days to receive the first PR card. So in his case, he may not receive the PR card as he will leave Canada before the usual timeline.
2. I (dependent) will travel alone to Canada, 1 month after returning of my father (main applicant) to the origin country. I will stay there for 1 to 2 years.
Given the situation, will there be any problem regarding the processing of the PR card for my mother and me? Can my mother and I receive the PR card while my father won't receive the PR card and also while he is not in Canada?
Thank you!
