No, not resident in Canada, and could only sponsor if residing in Canada and the nephew was an orphan under 18.

You can sponsor nephews and nieces if they are orphans and under 18 and not married. If that is not the case, then you can check if there is a possibility for you to sponsor them under the provincial nominee program where you live, see

Thanks for replying. Yes my newphew is orphan and is unmarried. However I live in US. Can I start the process: If I indicate plans to return to Canada before the his landing in Canada.
As far as provincial nominee program, I have checked several but all require the sponsor to be residing in Canada.
