HELLO FRIENDS

Can a candidate who completed Graduation in Commerce in India be eligible under 1111 category if he is working as an accountant for more than 4 years?

We have met some consultants here in Delhi and we get mixed opinions... Please guide us.

I also appreciate if someone who has got medical or visa in similar case (I mean commerce graduate, accountant and in 1111 or 0111 category)

Please reply us...

Thanks in Advance

I have read some posts about BCOM guy who applied and got PR.I was searching for the posts but couldn't find it.If you look at the eligibility criteria they have included 3 years degree also.I believe you should apply,if you have good experience and meeting the eligibility criterion of 67 points than you stand a chance.

As far as consultants are concerned, they know as much as seniors or others know in this forum

All the best

Hello PGT
I alos a b com pass i also applied as an accountant . If you have experience of accountant then you can apply but before that read the job duties of accountant . If you doing the same then you can apply.

thank you for your reply but if you read employment requirements on NOC website, you would find that they need only CA or CFA or CPA....

I would appreciate if someone can throw more light on it....

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/ProfileNocCode.aspx?val=1&val1=1111&val17=1111&val18=1&val19=0

the score is 70 but the confusion is this only...

Please respond to it....

read between 6.1 and 6.2 on page 9 of http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLIsh/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdf

I don't know if they actually practice what it says there but that is what it says.

the same confusion was with me also but now it has been resoved because if you see it is clearly mentioned that
ca requireed chartered accountant degree & other professional also required degree but for accountant if you are only bcom pass then also you can apply for accountant but conditions is that you should have graduation in regular study now corresponce courses study will entertain by embassy

Also from the link provided above

"A distance learning credential is eligible for points as long as it meets the definition of a credential
as outlined in R73. If the credential is not described in terms of number of years duration (i.e.,
three-year bachelor’s degree), officers should apply the definition of full-time equivalent study and
knowledge that the visa office has acquired on local education institutions and credentials."
