What is mature international candidate scheme of taking admission into a Canadian university college? And there is a scheme known as learning a 55 yrs age? Can any one tell abt these two schemes.. Taking admission into a three or two yr professional course in a Canadian university and then applying for permanent residency to Canada improves chances of getting immigration. I think there is no age bar on getting study permit visa one a mature candidate is admitted into designated learning Institution in Canada? There is no such policy by federal government of Canada of age barringin admission to a professional course.

I think you can pursue your study as there is no restriction of age noted on this forum or on CIC website under General Category as long as you got admission in DLI.

If you want to immigrate, you are better off applying through Express Entry now than coming to Canada, studying a few years and then applying. Your age is starting to significantly impact the number of points you receive under Express Entry and the longer you wait, the more these points will drop. And being selected under Express Entry depends on how many points you have. For example, if you are 41 now, you will get 35 points based on your age. As soon as you turn 42, this will drop to 25 points. Then 15 points at 43, 5 points at 44 and 0 points at 45.

So between now and 45 years of age, you are going to lose 35 points under Express Entry.

there is no restriction of age,
they verify if the program will bring you educational and professional advancement
(if you have an university's degree, don't take any lower program for instance, don't say all you have,,, if you have a master's degree and you are going to study a simple course, don't say you have a master's degree).
be clear in you explanation letter, source of funds, your labour status, travels, etc

Not really good advice to tell someone not to fully disclose their qualifications as that could be seen as misrepresentation leading to all sorts of problems should that come to attention of immigration later.

ok,,, it is what people have lived asking for a study permit with over qualification
they want people who study and then go back to their country, if you are over qualified you don't need to study in Canada, they need you to migrate.
you are free to get any advise
bon chance mon ami

Yes - I agree the advice to exclude education is terrible.

First of all, it's lying in an application which is misrepresentation and can result in a five year ban from Canada.

Secondly, if you have plans on applying for PR later - you're creating huge problems for yourself. Of course you'll want to declare the Masters degree when you are applying for PR since it will get you more points. But if you failed to declare the Masters in your study permit - what are you going to do? How can you then declare this education later? CIC will compare the information in the PR application to the study permit and will see the discrepancy - and then you'll have a big problem on your hands and possibly jeopardize your changes for PR.

It's always a terrible idea to lie in an immigration application and this is never good advice.
