Hello... I'm very confused, received an offer letter from Cambrian-Hanson Brampton campus for Hospitality Diploma. But not sure, if I should use this offer letter for Visa for Jan 2018 intake. Please advise what are my chances of getting SPP visa.

Profile:
IELTS: 6.5 (L-6.5, R-7, W-5.5, S-6.5)
10th: 5.2 CGPA
12th: 60.4%

Chances for visa are not solely based on institute, it depends upon many other things, like your financial situation, ties with home country, qualification, course selection.
Talking about Cambrian college, its under SPP list given by Canada and is a good college to go for.

Cambrian itself is good college but its Brampton campus is run by a private firm Hanson (still under SPP though)... so that's why i was not sure.

Oh!
In that case, you should check about your post grad work permit (PGWP) after your course completion.
Whether the graduates of this campus can apply for pgwp or not.
Try to confirm this.

It has a DLI number, so PGWP shouldn't be a problem (but I will confirm). I was just concerned about its reputation and my visa chances since my academics are low in 10th and 12th.

As far as your academics are concerned, you are good to go (your core subjects should not have less than 50/100 marks). People get visa with these scores. You can get visa.
At end, its all upon luck.
Good luck.

If you have less than 50 marks in economics, try to avoid course in Cambrian, in which economics would be a major/core subject.
Check your course details on college website.

I had applied for Hospitality - Hotel & Restaurant Diploma. It does have Economics in its course list, but won't be a major subject. Do Visa officer look at course list. I won't send any such information with my application.

They would definitely check everything. Post your full academics, ielts, etc.

Try to justify things in sop, and try to keep sop strong and clear.
Rest, its all upon luck.

Just a suggestion, if you have done your 12th in CBSE, fill the CBSE improvement exam for Economics(it would just costs 700/800) and if unluckily, you get your visa refused. Then, you can improve your economics scores and can apply again, next year.
You may not find this useful, but will realise, if you got your visa refused.

Rather i would say fill improvement for both english and economics. The money which CBSE will charge, would be same for 2 subjects (700/800).
