Hello,

I have a few questions regarding calling my grandparents for a wedding from India.
I’ve never done this and I’m aware that it is a bit early to apply for the Visa but it would help to know and be prepared.

So my grandparents aren’t well off in india - they have some land which isn’t exactly that great. They also don’t work because of their age. My Grandfather has been to Germany before in his young age, but he returned because of my grandmother. Other than that, they havn’t really been anywhere except UAE (Dubai) and Saudi Arabia.

All of their kids - except one daughter and her family - live abroad. My mother (their daughter) lives in Canada, the other two kids live in the UK with their families. They don’t have much money except what is sent to them from their kids.

As for me, I am just recently graduated so I don’t have a job yet - just doing internship. I am getting married to someone that is from the UK. Him and his family are also coming from there. His dad happens to be friends with my grandparents, so i don’t know if that helps. But they too want my grandparents to come. I don’t have much money to support them but my parents do. But the groom’s brother who lives in Canada is also willing to show income.
I will of course submit a letter of invitation for the wedding.
But Is there anything else that I should do to increase the chances?

Should I deposit money in their account few months before applying? How many months prior?

I’d be grateful for the help!

Thanks!!
