Are you in Canada? Maybe you should look up some statistics published by PNPs...
Could you please provide the link? Sometimes people could read statistics but do not understand what they read. That's why I would like to see the source please.

I see... ok... Lets take Sask as an example. The biggest category "International Skilled Workers With an Employment Offer" that accepted almost 5,000 applications is only for NOC 0, A and B!

Thank you for the links. Again, not very many of them. I would like to see numbers and not the rules trying to imagine those numbers.
omg... here is a link for Alberta. Page 11 - 74% of nominations were issued for NOC 0, A and B.

Why don't you give the stats behind your reasoning that many PNPs are in NOC C and D?

In fact >75% of people from PNPs are in NOC 0,A and B codes. last year there were 18K PNP nominations. So straightaway there are >14K people with greater than 600 points in EE. CEC issued 4K PRs last year, while Skilled workers were issued 18K. (Principal applicants, not spouses/dependants). So there will be immense competition from PNPs.

Something wrong with your end. The PDF file works.
Yeap, it did work for me too. By the way, now I can see the PNP are going to be harder to get even if you are already within Canada

Employer driven Stream AB- 2919.
74 % of the nominees were nominated under NOC codes
that were Skilled (0, A, B)

2919x74%=2160 for 2013. including international graduates I suppose.
You are kidding, right?

Why you guys (if you were in CEC stream before) worry about the competition from PNPs, the reason CIC assign 600 points to the ppl have PNP or LIMA is simply let them have a guaranteed PR, that's it. We (CEC stream) are not competing with them, I would assume the majority ppl will be competing within 380 to 500 range.

Thoughts??

My two cents.....

As has been made amply clear by Canadian PM, that the goal is to induct immigrants who fit in the system easily. PNP, CIC, people with job offers are definitely in a better position compared to the guy who will land and start searching for a job.

As Phil pointed out, each state is giving out 5000 PNP nominations each year. There are 10 states ie : 50000 PNP nominations. It can be expected that atleast 12000 applicants will have job offers \ canadian experience because they completed their studies in canda.

The target for this years immigration is 65000.
So your chances are 65000 - 50000 - 12000 = 3000 :(

Sad but true

Agree with the PNP part, but not all of those 12000 have 600 point for LIMA so those ppl will fall under 380 to 480 range. So if you have good education, high enough IELTS, you can still be picked

snkarora already put the PNP factor in the equation CIC will issue 65K PR per year = 50K (PNP) + 12k(cec, fsw, which I assume not all of them have LIMA) + 3000 (residual)

So 65000 = 50000(PNP) + 12000 (CEC or FSW) + 3000 (Residual)

Your calculation is completely wrong. Look at the statistics. People within Canada with jobs and job offers always were able easy to get PR. Nothing has changed with EE. Just another system of points.
