Call in notice - CIC Etobicoke

After 2 years and two months of waiting, my wife receive today a "call in notice" to appear on interview in CIC Etobicoke after 2 weeks. In this "call in notice" CIC is saying that they need the following documents: copmleted form 008, me as a spouse, 2 interpreters, valid passport, record of landing, birth cert, letter of employment, tax return for me and my wife, marriage cert, copy of bills, copy of joint accounts, copy of credit cards, pictures from ceremonies, any other information you might thing prove genuine relationship.

Is anyone ever received such "call in notice"?

Yes. I did. My wife and I got that kind of letter last year September (2012).
Please go there and defend yourself and your wife. Whatever you tell them they will accept. She is your wife.
Just go there and prepare very well with all your supporting documents. After 3 months we got AIP.

My wife was asked to re-do medical in April, 2013 and pay landing fee while her dependent was asked to do finger printing and police report. Please don't argue with them. Just take it easy and calm. Respond easily to their questions, be short and concise in your response. All is well.

We're waiting for the final decision at most next month.

No. they just wanted to validate some information on your file. Please go there with all the documents you submitted earlier as well as the current ones. Your most recent joint bills, bank accounts, everything you have in common with your wife. Your most recent pictures with your wife. Your vacation trips, . Make sure both you can answer what you do in common. Your pay stub, for the past 6 months, starting with most current. Within 3 months, you will get AIP. It depends how busy CIC Etobicoke is right now. Our takes long because of the dependents kids that are involved.

According CIC web site, I am supposed to get AIP within 8 months since I submit application to sponsor my wife. It's 26 months now. I am going to ask for mandamus if they put delay more than 2 weeks. I have never been on vacation outside canada with my wife, she is not allowed to travel outside. good luck to you

Look Peter, there is no short cut in this matter. They have their procedure/protocols to follow. In my case, I have been to the Immigration Minister, which is the highest Authority in Canada. No matter what, the truth shall prevail. My only golden advice for you is to keep cool. You can take vacation within Canada. Get some letters from your community leaders or associations that knows you and your wife. If you attend any church or mosque, get reference letters from them, friends and family couples with all supporting documents both previous and current.

Your MP has help you speed up the Call Notice. It usually takes between 6 to 12 months before you can be invited to defend your case. you're very Lucy indeed to get that in less than 3 months.

Last but not the least keep cool and take it easy. You and your wife should start planning how to defend your case before CIC Etobicoke.

You are more focused on whether or not anyone else has gotten this letter. If nobody else chooses to answer then you can assume they either did not get one or they choose not to tell you they did.

I have seen no less than 10 different posts from you regarding this matter, in all different threads on this board. Please stop spamming the question and prepare yourself for your interview. There is no quick fix and this interview will have to be attended to regardless of how angry or upset or defensive it makes you.
