Hi Sarmad,

The following link should assist you in classifying job categories as per NOC.

ww.workingincanada.gc.ca/report-eng.do?action=search_occupation_confirm&noc=1453

It comes under Semi-skilled category C under NOC Code 1453.

OCCUPATION SELECTION

This unit group includes clerks who answer enquiries and provide information regarding an establishment's goods, services and policies and who provide customer services such as receiving payments and processing requests for services. They are employed by retail establishments, call centres, insurance, telephone and utility companies and other establishments throughout the private and public sectors.
This group also includes the following titles: accounts information clerk, bus information clerk, call centre agent – customer service, complaints clerk – customer service, counter enquiries clerk, courtesy desk clerk, customer service clerk, customer service representative – call centre, enquiries clerk, hospital information clerk, information clerk – customer service, lost-and-found clerk, order desk agent, public relations clerk, tourist information clerk.

1453 is semi-skilled but there is also the option of 2282 - call centre agent - technical support and that would be considered skilled, skill level B. You can find the description on the NOC website at http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/Profile.aspx?val=2&val1=2282

Another option B level option would be 1213 - call centre supervisor.

Working at a call center on first level is awful, my experience anyway, wouldn't recommend it, if you have done it before and like it, ok, I would consider going deeper though, 2n level, where the interesting stuff happens. Don't know if these levels also apply to non IT stuff.

6314 is the current customer sales rep supervisor code, question is, does this job fall under federal skilled worker? Am I able to come to Canada As a customer rep supervisor I have 3 years experience in technical support and my husband in supervising but I see that the age is one of the factors they determine. I believe he is still young but I don't know what The immigration officers are looking for. Would that be be good? Also if I go as a federal skills worker then I'll most likely have him go with an open work order.

6314 is also skill level B but note that you are replying to posts from 2010. Many things have changed since then. We now have the new system express entry and you pretty much either need a job offer or a PNP nomination to qualify.
