Hello All,

I am really confused about calculating part time and full time hours towards Express Entry. In total I worked for 8 months part time under 1221 NOC code. But will be counting hours only after work permit arrived. So counting 4 months of part time work (total = 468 hours).

I am now working 35 hrs per week under same NOC code but on contract basis ending March 2018. That will approximately be 1050 hours till March 2018.

According to my understanding, below are my calculated hours.

1050 + 468 = 1,518 (still need to work more hours to gain 1,560 hours)

Can someone please suggest if this is right?

@engr.ahamdi,

I have a job contract that started in January 2014 in the NOC 4012 category. While filling the EE, does this count as two to three years or four to five. Considering it's more than 3 but less than 4

Nope. For the full-time duration, you can claim a maximum of 30 hours per week. So, multiply 30 by the number of full-time weeks. Hence, you have 30 hours x 30 weeks = 900 full-time hours. One more thing, how many hours per week did you have when you were part-time?
Thanks for the clarification. My part time hours varied sometimes each week. But usually it was 48 hrs bi-weekly.
