cairo time lines plzzzz help

my application was approved since November 4th and till now we heard nothing from embassy in cairo ,, could it be lost ?!!! its about 2 monthes +10 days ,, seems really long.any one had experince with cairo office ..plz reply

I don't think you should worry given that 13 months is the processing time for 80% of applications in Cairo.

My husband's application was processed through Buffalo which has shorter processing times than Cairo. And we didn't hear anything for about two and a half months after the approval either.

Hopefully someone with Cairo experience can confirm.

ummm in approval letter it said ,, the application kit was sent to cairo office for further processing soo could it take 2 months and half to reach cairo office from Mississuage ,,,thats what am asking

Just because Cairo hasn't sent you anything about having your application doesn't mean that they don't have it. Many embassies don't even send an acknowledgement of receipt unless they need to request more documents. Cairo already has it and perhaps they have not started to process it as yet.

thank you for all ur relys ,,, i read some topics in this forum about cairo office and seems they usually send AOR to the applicant but not the same timeline ,, really just worried i hope hear some thing from embassy or new update online ,,, any one dealing with cairo office ,,lets shar add ur timelines

same here the application sent from mississsuaga april 1 and we got AOR at July and since july we hear nothing from them but file in process so you dont have to be worry its normal for cairo office

and what was your estimated time mentioned in ur AOR to process ur visa???

yes fox im applying through spousal family class and i got my AOR at july but it was say they start processing at june 14 so its 7 months now
estimated time in AOR it was say 12 months but i really see people go through cairo office and done by 4 months

AOR = acknowledge of receipt its a letter u got from embassy let u know that they start process ur file ... cairo office time is 13 months depends on how they work

yes you are right mido most cases get done in 2-4 monthes thats seems really long 7 monthes ,, dnt know why they put us on hold and why all this delaying ,, really sucks
