Cairo, Passport requested for VISA how long before they send it back

Quick question for anyone applying through Cairo for PR. My husband was requested to send passport for VISA. He sent via courier Amarex and it delivered 12 days ago. Just wondering if anyone had tiemline on the return of the passport with Visa. We are so anxious for my husband to come to CANADA ASAP.. this process can really make you or break you..

He should hear back soon. Most people get them back within 2 weeks. I believe they will either email or call asking him to pick it up.

Congrats.. you are in the final stages. A few more days of waiting will be worth it in the end.

Hi egyptlover. Congratulations on the passport request! You may want to look on completed application times processed through Cairo on the trackitt website. trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/family-class You can select "Cairo" as the processing office and "spouses and partners" as the family program on the pull-down menus. It looks like some were returned in 1-2 weeks whereas others took a few months to be returned. It sounds pretty similar to the New Delhi office where my husband's application was processed. Most passports are returned from there within a few weeks like ours was, but it's not unheard of for them to keep the passport for several months. Sorry, I don't mean to discourage you but just don't be worried if it does take more than a couple weeks. Anyway, I hope that you get your passport back very fast!!

If you check Trackitt http://www.trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/family-class you will see that it is 2-6 weeks on average, most at about 4 weeks for passport return.
