Actually, I ordered them before the interview, and expected to receive the visa at that time (which is fairly normal for Sao Paulo)..when we didn't I ordered them again to be sure that all was well with the interview, and it was. The first time, it showed us why the interview was called, and the second time, it showed us that the interview was approved, medical received, RPRF paid and all the little details that I had been obsessing over...all that for $5..lol

Does anyone know if it's possible to get CAIPS notes faster than 5 to 6 weeks. I was just notified of my interview on March 30, 2011. And it seemes for early before this to request such a thing because my file wasn't even showing it was in progress. But now I am hit with this that comes in 4 weeks. So I don't know what to do.

I know most people have had to wait out the full 5+ weeks before they receive their CAIPS notes. It has happened to me in the past but miracles do happen.

I was notified only on E-cas about my interview and after many times sending enquiries to my VO re: instructions for my interview, I never got any response or letter/s a month prior to my interview date. I started panicking because I know E-CAS is not always true. However, we applied for CAIPS about a month before my interview to see what was happening on my file and time was running short as my interview date was approaching.

My partner decided to contact the CAIPS office in Ottawa and I guess it was our luck .... he was able to speak with someone that was able to bend the rules and faxed a copy of our notes to us. Mind you though, he still ended up spending $30 CDN having them express post the hard copy to our address. The bottom line is we got the notes the afternoon before my interview which was scheduled for early morning the following day. They were somewhat helpful.

Just don't give up. If you feel time is running short, call the office and explain your desperate situation to them and maybe you will get the same luck like we did.

I ordered my CAIPS notes via fax on Feb 22nd 2011. I am still waiting.

Hey all,

I ordered my wife's CAIPS on the 25th of January 2011. We just received the notes yesterday and the cover letter had a date stamped for February 24 2011. Basically, it took about a month for them to process it and a couple days for mailing, in my case.

Just to let everyone know, my wife was placed on the interview list and the reason was, quote, " WHY interest in marrying a farmer ". Our education level was a red flag: I have a master's and she had basic education up to 11 grade.

Overall, CAIPS was very beneficial. I was able to see the VO opinion, specifically, VO stated that there is a possibility of the interview be waived and recommended DNA testing. In addition, we were able to see the date when her application will be brought forward, which was a relief since we didn't hear anything from them for awhile now.

Sounds a little bias don't you think? Do they think all people really fall in love with someone for ther carrer/job???

They can be biased, it is up to us to prove them wrong.

Love doesn't follow "normal distribution".

I ordered my CAIPS from CaipsNotes.com on January 24th. My order tracking shows it's 79% complete, so I could have my CAIPS any day now, or within the next week or two for sure. The company is waiting on the office in Ottawa to send them the CAIPS, and the company will scan it and email the results to me.

What sort of prices do these companies charge - I am based in Ottawa, I wonder if they would let me collect the reports from the office ? :D

I ordered them on jan 5. it was showing a percentage but right now it is showing "should be any day" since last week.

Hmmm, well that's discouraging.

What a curious question for CIC to ask. How can you answer that question? "Because we are in love"? What else can you say, and that is the same reply everyone would give.

Overall, CAIPS was very beneficial. I was able to see the VO opinion, specifically, VO stated that there is a possibility of the interview be waived and recommended DNA testing.

WHat purpose would a DNA test serve? This is the first mention of DNA testing that I have read.

Hi Toby,
I totally agree with you. How else are we going to answer that and more interestingly, would the VO simply just ask that question during the interview. In my opinion, they will probably ask the basic questions to see how well we know each other. However, there wasn't anything else that appeared to be a red flag in the caips note. Did they put my wife on the interview list solely on this reason....

The DNA test was requested because my wife gave birth to our daughter during the process. Surprisingly, this wasn't mentioned in the note or red flag despite the fact we mentioned this in my wife's application.

dear sovo

I am thinking about ordering the CAIPS notes from our case, but we have a representative (lawyer) who`s helping us with our case. Is it ok if we order it, or should HE order it ?? anyone knows??
