Hello,

I am my wife's representant to CIC. I was wondering if I need to make her sign the caips note to get it, or can I simply sign it and they will know I'm her representant??

thanks

If she signed the form appointing you to be her representative, you should be able to order the notes on her behalf.

will caips note mention if the embassy has received the medicals? we received the AOR one month ago..

Yes, if processing of your wife's file has gotten to that stage, it will mention if the medicals have been requested and received. This is all contingent on the visa officer using the CAIPS system properly and recording all relevant processing done on her file. Not all officers and offices are diligently using the system.

Thank you very much. How long does it take normally to receive the notes? 4-5 weeks?

Yes, 4-5 weeks is the normal timing on CAIPS notes.

There is a special permission to sign if yuo are asking a company to get the CAIPS notes for you.

My wife is the applicant, and I am her representative. I've ordered CAIPS notes twice, through a company, and each time my wife (the applicant) signed the permission form. It is a special permission form allowing the company to access the CAIPS notes only, and does not override the form appointing me a representative.

If you are applying for the CAIPS notes directly, I believe that the representative signs the request. It might be wise to include a copy of the form designating the representative.

thanks

I have a question. In the privacy act table, it asks weather or not I want it in French or in English. It doesn't have this option for Access to Information. So I was wondering if I just check on the Acess to information, and leave all the Privacy act content alone....or does the language question be for both of them?

thank you

I am not asking a company. I am her husband and representative...
