Hi,

There is a visa category of B1/B2 (Business/Tourist both) in US and another of L1 (Work visa).

Now, my question is 1) Can a Canadian Permanent Resident enter US without a visa (equivalent to B1/B2) ?

2) Can a Canadian Permanent Resident work in the US without a visa (equivalent to L1) ?

Thx & regards

If you're in Canada with PR or valid work permit you can enter US border eventhough without US visa but you can't work in the US without working permit having a CDN PR :)
Wrong.
B/Obama is right.

That's wrong. Whether you need a visa to enter the US is determined by what passport/citizenship you hold. If you have a passport from a non-visa exempt country, then you will need a visa to enter the US.

The fact you hold a PR card is irrelevant. You cannot enter the US on a PR card alone.

thx qorax, barack, buleg and scyella for ur quick ones...so in a nutshell the pr card wont be of much till the time we've got our Citizenship i.e another 5yrs...and till that we hv to go thru the normal process of applying visa the only diff being we can apply from CA itself insteadof our home country
