Buying a car in Edmonton, Alberta

Hey all

I'm gonna do my 10 week clinical internship in physical therapy in Edmonton. I'm 24, from Denmark, if that makes any difference.

How is the rules ? Am i allowed to drive in Alberta, and how much is insurance for a international driver ?

I'm only gonna be using the car for 2 or 3 month, then sell it again.

I heard insurance is really costly! And take an International DL from your country!
