Dear All!

Good Day!

I am looking to seek advice, on how I can establish a restaurant business in Mississauga, Ontario. Basically, I wish to set up an international branch there, through which i would apply for a work permit, then seek PR, and then eventually citizenship.

Along with this, I would want to move my specialized chefs from Dubai to the branch in Canada.

Can any of you advise? Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks!

One option is to look into the OINP Entrepreneur program. You'll need to have a net worth of at least $800K to qualify and have plans to invest at least $600K in the business you will be setting up in Canada.

Also to add, you can‘t move your chefs to canada. Once your business is established, you have to prove that you couldn’t hire any Canadians or PRs. You file for a LMIA after paying $1k with a market assessment of why you were unable to hire after posting the job on websites. Then if you get the LMIA, your chef files for a closed work permit.
