can any bdy tell which month/year FSW applications are getting medicals from buffalo now-a-days....

Is it still Nov'2008?

MY application Date is Nov, 2008 "Nothing yet". Maybe Next few months. I would not be surprised if i get a notice on this coming November. So relax and take few breaths.

According to trackitt, they are still with August-September applications. They may be just started with October...not in November yet.

I first applied in Sept 2005. Updated docs requested in 14 may 2009.Sent. Earlier with my initial application I submitted IELTS. Now with updated docs I have again sent fresh IELTS. Can anybody tell which IELTS would be counted and which rule applies for scoring, pre or por NOV 2008?

So, that means buffalo is easily taking 1 - 2 years for FSW Cat 1 for whole process(if one escapes background checks otherwise 3-4 years)

Looks like conservative Jason Kennedy has really fast tracked things in Buffalo....

As for job hunting...I am looking for a faculty position in Canada myself, and for my experience Canadian universities tend to be SO slow with processing of applications of potential new assistant professors...
It is important to send your application as soon as possible and not to wait for the application deadline, as I have seen more than once that they start processing applications of promising candidates before the official deadline.
The priority for "Canadians or permanent residents" is real in respect that you cannot be the first candidate that they interview for the specific position.

Hopefully, we are not in the same field and are not sending applications to the same places...lol...:).

Thanks, this is good info. i should apply early then.

I applied in March 2008 and still have not heard anything yet except that my BFD was on June 24th 2009. Still waiting....Not sure if they even got to August - Oct 2008 applicants yeat when so many June and July 08 applicants are still pending......how depressing....

I applied in June 2008(Buffalo), finished my Medicals and sent RPRF in July 2009, waiting for PPR.

As i suspected, it takes about 12 months to complete the process for buffalo. based on what i have been reading on here, and my application process (8 months already).

i would say more than 12 months because even if u get medical today, u will be over 12 months when u will have all docs in hands to move to canada....

Buffalo and Jason kennedy sucks....

sorry to be picky, just wanted to correct in case someone needs to know the correct name, its Jason T. Kenney - Minister for Citizenship.

You are very welcome, friend. Your help on this forum is very much appreciated.

I dont if people here alrady knew this but i'll just share anyways...i just saw on another thread...October 2008 buffalo applicants have started to get letters "your file has been transferred to xyz local consulate". I know local consulate takes upto 3 months to send medicals...

So basically October 2008 buffalo guys may see PPR in December 2009.

God help 2009 people...Jason Kenney is fast tracking things...

its still faster than in previous years, just not as fast as other consulate.
