Instead of feeling frustrated and applying for Visitor Visa, Why dont you apply for ALMO. This is different from LMO.I heard now Canada has introduced a process called ALMO, which just takes a week or so to get approved.All you would need is an Offer letter from your Canadian Employer and an ad stating the same.

The process is more quick and your WP will get extended immediately.

Why don't you apply under the CEC stream it seems they process files in 6 to 8 months.

That's what I plan on doing as the waiting is really getting frustrating....

I think ALMO has a condition that "employer must have successfully received an LMO in the past 2 years". I just applied for an LMO, how much time it would take??? My employer does not have any foreign worker and it is for the first time he applied for LMO. He does have 2 workers which are citizen here. Can anyone confirms me that my application will be considered under LMO or ALMO?? Thanks

Unfortunately I think you need to apply for LMO.ALMO wont be applicable for you at this stage.

However, please make sure you check this with some expert as I dont know Canadian laws so well...Still in the US.

People like us are at the mercy of Canadian gov on when they will touch our files and give us the good news..

I think we need to wait till Jan 2013. if still nothing happen, hope and wish we wont be backlogged like pre 2008. I think PPR is coming in Random these days.

even i give up , i m going to start something else in my life , after coming back from canada , i was nt doing anything in india yet
but i am planning for new job or business now , coz i lost all my hope now
its only one month left for me , life gona finish , all dreams going to be in hell , shit feeling for my self
y i took decsion to come back ind , its was going very smooth everything in my life .
i think all dreams and whishes drain in water now

its four month now since buffalo is closed and still we are nt getting any reply , hell with shit system
we were more happy in buffalo rather than ottawa
