Buffalo transfter file to Seattle - Please share timeline

Hey Guys,

Mine file was traferred to Seattle in Feb 2010, I didn't hear anything from them until this month. They asked for my updated documents and I have sent them already. It seems like Seattle office is moving fast, so you guys might hear something soon as well, lets hope for the best!!! I will keep you all posted.

We received your application for permanent residence on January 14, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 8, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Seattle office. They are pending review.

We transferred your application to the Seattle office on March 17, 2010. The Seattle office may contact you.

We transferred your application to the Seattle office on October 20, 2011. The Seattle office may contact you.

any of you who has an idea what the sentence "PLS DO NOT UPDATE THE STATUS OF YOUR APPLICATION WITHIN 90 DAYS UPON THE RECEIPT OF THIS LETTER" implies?
does it mean,
A. they are in the process of ACTUALLY REVIEWING & FINALIZING their decision on our application?
or
B. theyre just saying that for no reason

I received CAIPS today after 45.days.

My BFD date will be on 2.2.2012,exactly 90.days from the day when Buffalo has transferred my file to Seattle.

CAIPS is short for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System'. It is the computer system historically used by Citizenship & Immigration Canada to process visa applications, and holds all the information on the current status of every immigration application being processed by overseas offices (i.e. those outside of Canada), other than new applications at offices which have switched to using the 'GCMS' system.

FOSS is the computer system historically used by CIC offices in Canada to track all immigration-related information, but like the CAIPS system is being superceded by GCMS.

GCMS is short for 'Global Case Management System', and is a newer computer system that CIC are rolling out across their offices. To ensure that we manage to obtain your file, we request both CAIPS/GCMS files or FOSS/GCMS files.

Yes babbar, as far as the existing guidelines is concern, you may do your medical in any part o the world for as long as it is DMP.. You may check from the site what are the DMPs accredited near in your place in India...
