My friend's file is not transferred to other visa office. He sent his application to CIO in Feb. 2010, and got medical last week from the Buffalo.

I am new to this Forum:

Category - sw3
1) 21 Dec 09-Initial application to CIO
2) 15 Feb 10 - CIO AOR
3) 05 Oct 2011 - File transferred to Detroit
4) 14 Oct 2011 - reviewed and we started processing
I Received my MR on 4 - Nov - 2011

Along with my medicals they asked me to send the documents mentioned in the check list.

1. Updated verifiable letter of reference from current employer detailing your dates of employment, hours worked per week, remuneration paid and duties and responsibilities and evidence that you have been offered indeterminate employment - (This I don’t have. but submitted when I applied my application. Now I changed my company and moved to India)
2. Evidence of paid work experience in the form of T-4 statements and Revenue Canada Notice of Assessment statements for 2009 and 2010 and individual pay statements for January 2011 to present.
( Yes I have these )
3. Evidence of funds for settlement in the form of all bank account statements for you and your spouse for the past twelve months – I need to show Canada statements or Indian bank statements ?

I received the email approval on Nov-3,2011 and awaiting MR documents.

How long did it take for you to receive the MR documents, after the email approval was sent to you ? (Which read "We have now completed initial assessment"...)?

Answere to your questions

1) Get your currrent employment letter with Job duties on yur company's letter head, try to get a cleint or co-worker letter as a supplement
3) Funds have to be in Canadian dollars ! you must show your equivalent indian Rupees in CAD, as POF !

Experienced memebers of the forum, please correct me ! I am just trying to help with NOT so deep insights into the process !

Seems like Los Angeles VO is the only one that no one has heard anything from yet (for MR after transfer from Buffalo). All other local VOs have at least one person (in various forums) where MRs were requested after the application transfer from Buffalo. All we can do is pray and wait.
