Buffalo-Passport Request Received But Now Divorced

Hi,
I am the primary application and received my passport request yesterday.But irony of the situation is I got divorced paper finalized yesterday as well.
Question is:
1.Do I send the passport and inform them of divorce in same mail?
2.How much delay shall I anticipate?

inform your visa office by writing a letter and send your passport also.
You will loose the points secured by ur spouse.
It can delay your application, but if u qualify on your own , it would not delay much.

Thanks explorer101 I am eligible on my own as well. Do you know approx how much delay shall I expect?
