Hi all,

My husband's sponsorship of me was approved on February 16th, and we were notified by mail that my application had been forwarded to Buffalo.

How long should I expect it to take before I get the AOR?

Thank you!!!

1. You may not get one, Buffalo doesn't always send them out in spousal cases.
2. The processing time is 4-10 months for 80% of the applications.

PMM

Thanks, PMM!

and -- anyone else able to tell me how long they waited for AOR from Buffalo? (or, if you didn't get an AOR from Buffalo, how long before first contact from Buffalo?) THANK YOU! ;D

you will receive either by email or mail Buffalo's AOR in about 1 month after receiving your approval letter.

My file has been transfer to Buffalo since Mar-29, the status on E-Cas still hasn't updated to "in process" yet. How can I know that Buffalo has received my file and how can I know that are still working on the application that they received before mine? Will they reply if I contact them?

Thanks,

I never received an AOR from Buffalo, and e-cas only changed to decision made a week or so after they informed me that I'd been approved.

Can I check with them if they have received my application or I'm not supposed to ask?

It's still early - I would wait. We did get an AOR from Buffalo, but it was more than a month after the file was transferred there and I think we only got one because they were requesting a document we had omitted.

Like PMM said, Buffalo often doesn't send AORs and the normal processing time is 4-10 months.

I would wait, Alisa, as well. I would suggest, though I know it's hard, to only check e-cas about once a week. Otherwise, you will be disappointed and worried more often than necessary. ;)

Thanks AllisonVSC. How long did it take for your case to be approved from Buffalo?

Once transfered to Buffalo it was less than 2 months, but I think that was fast...I applied in Aug 09, sponsor approved in Sept. I landed Nov 12.
