In sync with the newly introduced Express Entry System by the CIC, British Columbia (B.C.) has added a stream to the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) known as Express Entry British Columbia. It is expected to address B.C.’s growing labour market requirements.

Federal express entry by CIC allows foreign skilled workers to submit their profile online and on receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA), submit a Permanent Residence application. The PR applications are then processed within 6 months from the date CIC receives a complete application.

Similarly, British Columbia Express Entry will also allow foreign professionals to apply for one of PNP’s category and to receive priority processing of their application.

There are three categories under B.C.’s PNP:

International Post Graduate
International Graduate
Skilled Workers (including Health Care Professionals)

If eligible applicants under any of the above categories receive nomination, their PR applications will also be processed on priority. Under the first category, International Post Graduate, individuals with science degree from a post-secondary institution in B.C. do not require any job offer to apply for PNP.

Occupations such as Agriculture, Engineering technology, mathematics and statistics, Biological and bio-medical sciences, Computer and information sciences and support services, etc. are included in the list. That said, an applicant has to meet the application criteria and be eligible to apply in any of the aforementioned three categories.

British Columbia is one of the most sought after destinations in Canada. It is great place to live, work, and settle.

well job offer in BC is one of the key criteria to qualify for the BC express entry...see quote;

*Please note - To qualify under these categories, you must have a valid offer of indeterminate full-time employment from a B.C. employer.
