Hi everyone,
I am a British citizen visiting my Canadian PR holder partner soon and planning to get married during the visit. We won't be applying for me to move to Canada. I have applied for an eTA, which was approved but wanted to check if this is the correct 'visa'? (I'm aware an eTA isn't a visa, it just allows you to board the flight). If so, what do I say when asked by the border official what my purpose for visiting is? Just visiting? Visiting and marriage?
I understand in some instances, the border official may think that I won't leave Canada if I mention marriage, which is not going to be the case. I want to be honest, but also want a smooth process.
Thanks in advance.
