If you're coming from the U.S. to work in Canada and plan on being there for over one year keep in mind you need to do a temporary import with CBSA, It allows you to plate & register the vehicle in your home province.
However, when you do that the province takes your U.S. state issued title in exchange for the provincial ownership. Because of that, before you do the temp import with the Canadians, you need to export the vehicle with CBP on the U.S. side. I used autoimportusa.com. But it's a pain if you don't export first and the vehicle is already in Canada because the U.S. wants the vehicle in the U.S. when the export gets setup - and the vehicle needs to remain in the U.S. for a minimum of 72 hours after setup.
