Is it worthwhile if I bring my cellphone when I land in Canada?
Can it work there?
Thanks

In my case, the frequency is different I think.
Thanks for the reply.

maybe share the make/ model given generally phones that are tri band or quad band work in most countries. Of course you might need a local SIM to keep running costs down

You have to consider the frequency, but also whether the phone uses s sim card or not. Most of the networks in Canada do not use simcards. That may prove a challenge

I bought an iPhone because my Samsung with Sprint would not work in Canada. Sprint said it would but when I visited it would not. So sprint told me get an iPhone. I did and it worked but daily it would drop calls and people could not reach me without numerous attempts. Once I landed I paid off my contract with sprint and got a phone with Bell as provider.
I gave the iPhone away to someone in Canada who wanted to use it for the internet only on wifi.

I buy my phone outright as it would be cheaper over 2 years if I took a contract. If you have money to shell out at the start then it is cheaper than making payments over 2 years. I have an unlocked iPhone. I hope it works in Canada.

My issue was with my provider I am sure. Sprint. And I am in a fairly rural area. I bet yours will be fine.
