Bringing Jewellery and Other Items to Canada

Hello All,

Just want to know when my wife lands in Canada as a PR does she need to declare the following:-

1. Household utensils which will be couriered.
2. Personal Jewellery which she will carry along with her.
3. Her personal Art works-which she has created.

If the above is couriered to me (except jewellery) before she lands will there by a duty levied on these items? My wife is currently in India.

You need to declare when you land what are the things that you are talking along with you. And what is coming 'on the way' in freight. Declare as much clear and detailed.
No DUTY for new PR landing for house holds / personal effects/ Jewelry / Cash or Cash equivalents . But you need to declare it ( forms are available online ) you can fill the forms prior to the landing and keep it handy when you land
