Dear Experts
Greetings!!!

I have become a PR on 18.06.15 and landed on 28.11.15 with my spouse and kid. Now the big challenge I am facing is to bring my other family members here in Canada.

The followings are my family members I want to bring here in Canada:

1. Parent
2. Sister and her husband.

I am eagerly seeking your advice on how I can bring them in?

Waiting for your reply.

Regards

Parents - You first need 3 years of filing Canadian income tax returns that meet minimum income amounts, and then you can sponsor your parents. So earliest you are probably able to apply is 2020 (if you make enough income in 2016, 17 and 18).

Sister - You can't sponsor your sister and her family. She will need to find a way to immigrate on her own. You may be able to assist if she qualifies under one of the provincial nominee programs based on where you live.

though I am not senior but I believe, For Parents, U can apply for Parental Super Visa which is issue for 10 years wherein parents can live 2 year at a stretch and In parallel you can apply PR for your parents.

For Sister, if can sponsor them for visitor visa

Dear Rob_TO
Thanks for your advice. In your reply you mentioned "enough income". Would you please specify me a bit more how much income usually it requires.

FYI - the Super Visa has income requirements as well. You'll need to be employed in Canada before you can try to apply.

If it's you + wife + 1 kid + 2 parents, that would be family size of 5. You can see latest income requirements here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5772ETOC.asp - Federal Income Table for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship

If you were sponsoring today, you'd need income in the $65K range for 3 consecutive years (or $57K range if you just have 1 parent)

In order to sponsor your parents for PR in 2020, you'd need to start earning a bare minimum of approx $65K+ starting in 2016. More is better since nobody knows what the minimum incomes will increase to in the next few years, plus if you have any additional children that will increase your family size and income requirement for all the years.
