Hi,

I am applying for EE on the FSWP. I understand that if I am accepted qnd receive Permanent Residence, my common law partner will receive Permanent residence as well even if he does not qualify under the FSWP (his NOC is not qualifying), is that correct?

If so then, as the principal applicant do I have to be financially responsible for him for the next 3 years (I have seen that on the family sponsorship program)?

Many thanks in advance to help me clarify these points.

Audrey

Yes - he will get PR as well.

No financial responsibility. The rule you are quoting only applies to spousal sponsorship.

Many thanks Scylla, that's very helpfull.

Would you know if my partner will then have to apply for an open work permit to be able to work or is this again from the spousal sponsorship program?
