Hi All,

I have applied my PR and received AOR. I have a Closed Work Permit that is WP ICT raised by my company expiring on Apr 2022. I have also applied for Bridging Open Work Permit based on my AOR. Will there be any problem? Please advise.

I Believe you cant have both, One of them, probably your WP ICT will be cancelled automatically.

One question though, why did you have overlapping work permits?? Didn’t you coordinate with your employer whether they’d be raising a work permit extension on your behalf or you need to apply your BOWP?

Hello, I am PR applicant under PNP with closed work permit. My work permit will expire soon and I am trying to apply for BOWP. When reading instructions at CIC website. I need to submit 1) copy of my nomination letter and 2) my AOR for PR.
However, the website doesn't mention that I need to submit my job offer letter. Is it okay I do not include my current Job offer letter when applying for BOWP?

Actually I got my ICT which was raised by my employer back in July. But I applied for Bridge in December, after applying bridging I got my ICT WP end of December.
My employer raise only WP ICT they dont consider Open WP.

Yes, you need to upload AOR and nomination letter provided by your Province under Optional Documents

You shouldn't leave your employer until you have PR.

oh. i thought i can leave my employer since i am now BOWP.
Technically you can, however if you received your nomination through employer support, IRCC may say you no longer meet the requirements if you leave the employer who supported you. So you'll be putting your PR application in jeopardy unless you can get your new employer to support you through the provincial program as well.
