My current situation is that I am working in Canada on a SPOW (expires May 2020) which is linked to my spouse's closed work permit. He has since left his employer which means that he cannot continue working and is busy looking for other employment. I am continuing to work on my SPOW however I understand that I cannot travel out of Canada due to his closed work permit conditions changing.
On our PR application, I am the primary applicant and also hold a PNP from Ontario. Could I apply for the BOPW especially since I cannot travel out of Canada?
We also received the ITA and are busy with uploading the relevant documents for the PR.
As I understand that the PR processing time is 6 to 8 months, I am trying to find a solution to continue working in Canada and also be able to travel out of the country whilst we wait for the PR.
