BridgeOpenWorkPermit for wife after receiving AOR for husband's PR application

Hi All,

My husband had applied for a PR adding me as my dependant in his application.

We received the AOR by previous week.

I am on a Spousal Open work Permit.Am i eligible to apply for a bridge work permit ? If so what will be the documents and should i attach a letter of explanation to cic.

Since you are a dependent , if your husband is eligible for bridge WP then you will get it. I assume your husband will have valid WP and you can normally extend your open WP based on that and no need to take a bridge WP.

This is as per my knowledge as i have enquired same thing for my wife where they said she alone will not be eligible for bridge WP since she is a dependent to me.

Correct. She does not qualify for BOWP, however she can apply, once her hubbies BOWP has been approved, for
an open work permit based on her hubbies WP.
