Hope you can help. I am currently a close work permit holder with expiry date of 14th July 2017. My current employer has filled a Closed work permit extension application to CIC on 5th May 2017 to extend my work permit until 12th Jan 2018. Recently, I was told by my employer to leave the country by 30th July 2017 as my current project contract is ending.
I have recently submitted my Express entry PR application on 10th May & received AOR on 11th May 2017.
Please advise if I can apply for the Bridge Open work permit application as my current closed work permit application is in progress to extend my Work permit expiry date from 14th July 2017 to Jan 12 2018.
In this case, If I apply for Bridge open work permit, please advise if my application will be reject stating my Work permit expiry is not within 4 months. I am thinking my closed work permit extension application will be processed first & if CIC takes up the Bridge open work permit application, will they be rejecting it as current work permit expiry date as of that day is not expirying within 4months(i.e expiry date of Jan 12, 2018).
Please advise/help me what are my options to stay in Canada possible with a work before I receive my PR application results.
