Hello,

I got my ITA and am preparing documents currently. I used to live in Brazil before so I need the PCC for that. Based on the steps mentioned in IRCC website I filled the online form in the PF website and got my PCC. Can someone who submitted a Brazil PCC under CEC confirm that I can submit the downloaded PCC from PF website? Also, I know I have to get the document translated into English. Any reference for certified translators in Toronto?

Yes, the generated PDF is enough. You can send electronically for translation in Brazil (any translator that perform "traducao juramentada"). Its probably cheaper.

Did you validate the pcc ? Because you need validate before translate it. The best thing to is… send pcc and validation to consulate of Brasil in Toronto and get the stamp from them and then translate it.

You need to mail the form you got from the Policia Federal website to the closest Consulate General of Brazil. Go to the Itamaraty website, find the closest one to you and they will detail all the documentation that you need to send along with the form. After you get it back, you will also need to do the Traducao Juramentada through a certified translator according to the place you're applying to. The whole ordeal takes 2 to 4 weeks to finish. Good luck.

Where is this validation requirement located? Not mentioned on IRCC official website (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates/how/brazil.html).

I just generated the PDF from Policia Federal and got translated. It worked for the Work Visa application in 2019 and so far I got no additional requests for the PR (R10 check and Eligibility passed).

On the Itamaraty website:
Para que a referida certidão seja válida no Canadá, ela deverá ser legalizada junto ao Consulado e, posteriormente, traduzida por tradutor juramentado canadense.

Good that it worked for you without that step as it can save you time but in my case, I had that availability while waiting for the medical examination. We passed the Eligibility criteria too.

what is your AOR?
Double-check your personal information on the PCC and if the notarized translation was scanned in color.

AOR is May 22nd. and I can see that the details are correct. Should we send the PCC to Brazil consulate and get their signature before Translating it? I didn't get the signature from the Brazil consulate.

I didn’t do it and it worked so far. Apr 6 with R10 and eligibility passed. Looks like a different problem or mistake from IRCC. ask details

I will detail the process that is given by the official Brazilian Government assuming you're in Canada and following the link (http://toronto.itamaraty.gov.br/pt-br/antecedentes_criminais.xml):
1-Go to the Policia Federal and print the Nada Consta.
2-Send that document alongside the money order and the registered envelope to the Consulate General of Brazil in Toronto. Use registered mail for this step and it might take you up to 2 weeks to get them back.
3-Take the document you received from the Consulate and have it translated by a translator certified by the ATIO. This certification is very important.
4-Lastly, submit the document to the IRCC.

If your application was rejected, I'd highly recommend you talk to an immigration consultant or lawyer to submit an appeal to the IRCC. The outcome is NOT guaranteed to be reevaluated though. Best of luck.
