I applied for bridging open work permit in mid August and today after 66 days from submit, I got an update on my application and status of background check changed to " We are processing your background check".

Anybody does have the same experience?

Thanks,

BOWP is not considered 'Work permit (from inside Canada)" ?
Which now is 8 weeks?

No. You have to select “work permit extension”

You need to select "Visiting, studying, working temporarily", then "Work Permit Extension (new employer)".
