Hello,
I'm planning to apply for BOWP for myself, OWP extension for my spouse and SPs extenstion for my kids in one single application.
- My PGWP, Spouse's OWP and kids SPs expires in November 2025
- Our PR application in progress; AOR, PAL, medical and bio-metrics all done (more details in my signature).
I have a few questions and would highly appreciate your response:
1. Is it OK to apply now given I have 6 months for our permits to expire? I believe there was a rule in place earlier to apply if the permit expiration is due in 4 months or less.
2. Should I answer 'Yes' to the questions "I am applying for an open work permit under an active public policy or pilot program announced by IRCC" and "a person who applied for permanent residence to an office in-Canada and was determined to be eligible for permanent resident status (first stage approval)"
2. Am I and/or my family members exempt from paying the application fee? The total fee for the for a family of 4 is coming to CAD 810 (combined holder and processing fees for all). Or is it safe/better to just pay the whole fee and IRCC will refund the holders fee if they deem fit.
Thank you!
