Hello all,
I am in the midst of filing for my BOWP online, but I don't seem to find the photo specifications anywhere (the one that needs to be sent to them electronically along with the online application)

Can anyone send me the specifications or the link to the specifications please.

Thanks you.

Hi

As I understand all applications have the same specs here is a link

yes u are for sure .. now my doubt is cleared

Hi All,

Seniors, who have submitted their online application for BOWP, need your inputs. I have searched through forums but couldn't get confirmation on this & also you might find this questions childish..still need your help..

I have filled in all the docs & uploaded in online tool for BOWP. I have to upload photos. Not sure if I have scan the photos taken in the lab on normal A4 page & upload it. If I do this, it will be a small image on a big A4 page..is this what we have to do?

Or is there any other way to do this? Please advise. Need your inputs at the earliest as my application is pending only for this last thing..

Thanks in advance..!

Scanning the passport size photo wont work most of the time as the required pixels would be less even if you scan in highest resolution available. Just take a picture on your phone (against light color background) and it should be sufficient. That's what I did and recommended to my friends as well. We have all got our BOWP approved. Ensure you crop the photo to shoulder length and roughly the dimensions are in the aspect ratio of 35x45.

Thanks alot cecnov2012!

Got some relief now. Will follow the same & submit my application today.

Thank you very much for your swift response once again!

Also, one last question-

I am applying for my spouse's BOWP as well. Do I need to upload her photo as well?
It's giving an option to upload photo in my docs list only & not for her.. Kindly advise.

I think photo is not asked for spouse. I didnt apply for my spouse but I vaguely remember my friend telling me this. I will leave it to the ppl who have already applied for spouse.

many of you didn't read the application properly did u..

Digital Photo

Dimensions:
The final frame size of the photo must be at least 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8" x 1 ¾").
The photographs must show the full front view of the head, with the face in the middle of the photograph, and include the top of the shoulders.
The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31 mm (1 ¼") and 36 mm (1 7/16").
Digital dimensions are often expressed in pixels or DPI (dots per inch). The physical dimensions in pixels must be at least 420 x 540.
Quality/Resolution:
If an existing photo is being scanned, the minimum resolution must be 600 pixels per inch.
File Format:
The file may be submitted in JPEG or JPEG2000 format.
File Size:
The final size of the image should be ideally 240 kB (kilobytes), but not less than 60 kB.
Colour:
The image must be in color (24 bits per pixel) in sRGB colour space which is the common output for most digital cameras.

if your Image is less than 60KB just edit it and add more color to it and it will be more than 60 KB.
That's what I did lol
